One 60-day voyage circling the Land Down Under was terminated following the fatal incident of an older lady who was abandoned by the cruise liner on a distant coastal location.

Suzanne Rees had been walking on Lizard Island with fellow passengers from the Coral Adventurer, but parted ways from the group for a break. The ship sailed away leaving her and went back several hours later after the ship staff discovered the passenger was missing.

A major hunt found her remains the subsequent day.

The CEO of the shipping company stated that passengers and personnel on the vessel were notified that the remainder of the cruise had been terminated due to the "tragic passing and previous technical problems".
